The Pen and Paper Role-playing trap!

All kinds of people can fall for this little gem: roleplaying their annoyed self at the table. Rifts last night consisted of three of us merrily doing it, and was decidedly more un-fun than usual.

As the selected "leader", and somone who has played a few RPGS, I should be trying to avoid that crock of useless shit, but I failed last night.

Which of course brings me to damage control: How to fix what I did / participated in? Well, start where the hurt is and move out:

Sorry Kitchem dahling. Im gonna shut my big fucking mouth.

  • Don't worry about it, it wasn't as bad as all that. People just got caught up in it.

I can understand you being a little rash given that you are the one people are looking too for direction. It's not an easy thing to do in itself, not to mention trying to lead when players are being patronizing and jerk-like. If they're character is acting that way I can accept that, but when they're just being bitchy out of impatience of something, that's just pointless and detrimentous.

Hopefully things can be made better.

  • /em was being bitchy out of impatience or something.
/em was also being pointless and detrimental(ous)
    /em apologizes:

I'm sorry Lanky. Had a crapass day, and nothing seemed to being going anywhere, and I was annoyed with what I viewed as your hypocrisy (let's play! no, let's talk! etc.), which was also my own.
I also need to just calm the f down sometimes.
So yeah, I'm sorry i directed my bitchiness towards you, I shall try to moderate that in the future.
